I’ve always loved porn novels ever since I found one in the woods when I was about 16. It was very graphic and I wanked myself silly over it regularly. There was a particularly good bit where the heroine got fingered by her boyfriend while they watched a threesome develop at a fancy dress party. I bought quite a few after that, and used to love reading them with my other half, and sometimes acting out a scene or two together. Anyone else enjoy this sort of thing? Somehow it felt a bit different from online erotica…

Used to go to the book shop in Soho, they had a great selection of erotica, I'd buy a book for the train journey home.

Have three books out on kindle about our swinging journey. Less aimed at all of us on here and more towards swinging curious folks.

I haven’t read proper porn books but Harold Robbins wrote some good racy stuff. First book of his I discovered was 79 park avenue. I can’t remember where I found it but I was young and thought it the best sexy book ever haha.

We used to like reading The Oyster - lots of jolly Victorian smut - and a couple of fun series of books: Ms Deedes On a Mission about a kind of super sexy secret agent who fucked and sucked her way to victory over the villain (there was one particularly amazing anal scene that we enjoyed re-enacting at home), and Lust on the Loose about a private eye dealing with cases of adultery, and often getting VERY involved…

I love erotic graphic novels. I remember discovering them first in France - think they are more popular there though some of the stories are bonkers - eg a time travelling Mediaeval witch sucks off two policeman.

There are some very sexy ones although the standard of art is very variable…

The Fermata by Nicholson Baker is a superb filthy read. It’s extremely well written. Plot is about a man who can stop time.

Read The Perfumed Garden as a very young teenager, it was very much an eye opener!!

Also read Women on Top and another Nancy Friday book, can’t recall the title but I loved them both. Very raw in some ways and an interesting insight into female thinking on sex.

Like a fair few on her me I’ve dabbled with writing a bit of erotica (on my profile).

It’s not an easy genre but so gratifying when someone reads it and tells you what effect it had!

Alice enjoyed 'How to be a Swinger' by someone Knight. Not really erotic, but apparently exciting to hear it being so blatant and practical.

She also mentioned 'Dare' by Tracey Cox.

Perhaps the most erotically charged and pornographic book we've read is Opus Pistorum (the work of the miller) - a book written anonymously by the celebrated American author, Henry Miller. It follows the sexual adventures of a debauched group of friends in 1940s Paris.
