I get paranoid about my weight after an abusive marriage where me wife told me she wouldn’t have sex with me because I was too fat (don’t worry, it was “just a joke” ) also about the size of my member as she also told me it wasn’t big enough. I did get her number and we have exchanged a couple of texts today too which was nice. Hoping to meet again in a few weeks time. I’ve never had compliments given to me and find them very hard to accept, hoping this is the start of getting my confidence back and starting to love myself a bit more.

Agree I find my wife even more attractive and desirable now in her 40s after two children than I did when we met in our 20's so i think being attractive and desirable is in the eye of the beholder as much as what you see and feel about yourself.

Its a cliché but just being confident and comfortable about yourself and your own body is very sexy! I let her know how attractive I find her which hopefully helps her feel good about herself too.
