I didn’t think Milf of Gilf has an age connotation I thought both acronyms referred their parental status. As women of all ages we should own it.

Absolutely own it! By doing so negates the objectification. Also If a woman isn’t a mother or Grandmother by definition they can’t be a milf or gilf.
