I used to get really put off by loud noises. Situation dependent.

I prefer vocal, it’s part of the fun. Although, sometimes, when outdoors for example, the attempts to be silent can be just as good

Crikey! My last long term partner was exactly this. Very quiet during sex and difficult to guage if he was enjoying things etc. I found it really odd. When I asked him about it, he said he and his wife always slept with the bedroom door open, and they kept quiet so as not to waken the kids up when they were small

. He was quiet like that for the whole 6 years we were together....
