Hey Experts, Looking for a few hours in a hotel, there will be 3 couples in total but only 1 will stay overnight.

Do hotels usually bother who is going to room upstairs?

Have you ever been stopped?

Do you usually ask the hotel that you will have 4 guests for a few hours?

Thanks in advance

Never had any issues using a hotel. Generally they couldn’t care less so long as you don’t make lots of noise

We’ve never had an issue so far. A lot of hotels you need a key card to get entry up to the rooms but we usually just go down and meet them or give them the spare card to make their own way up. Often these days there isn’t even anyone sitting at reception as they are away doing other things and you have to call them to the desk.

Kx

I would have loved to watch Basil running around, trying to disrupt a bukkake party in room 2.

The way we look at it is that we are paying for the room so it should be up to us, we just let people in walk straight past reception with them never had a problem, sometimes they are leaving 3am and passing reception and still no problems, hotels know what is happening that's part of their job discretion. If you remember the episode, wasn’t it his ‘Aunt’ that was visiting?

I'd not suggest walking through reception in a gimp suit

Most don’t allow guests not signed in because of prostitution but no one bothers or checks. Some city centre hotels need a card for lift access , on these you need to meet your friends in the bar or lobby otherwise just get to the room first abs text them the room number, or meet in a bar or hotel bar if preferred , but be checked in first

Yes we have had a pass card for the lifts too, think they are getting more popular nowadays. X

I do a lot of people watching when working away.

I think the bigger the hotel the easier it would be.

The worst is when your friend/s arrive before you , even if you’ve pre paid , unless you named them they can’t check in and at nice hotels it’s not contactless & they always insist on a swipe even on pre pay. At least with AirBNB and booking dot com apartments it’s nearly always contactless and PIN code for keys

We’ve never had an issue with extra guests turning up.

Maybe separate so you all aren’t walking past reception together.

Have fun

It was kind of my joke that in the 1970s, vanilla unmarried sex was still considered slightly taboo. I was trying to generate humour by juxtaposing that with what would be considered slightly taboo now.

Only late in the evening reception will ask you to name the guest and the room number you going to that’s only after 11pm
