We just wanted a rant. Refusal to send face pics.. why?!?? If you’re on a site like this and you get spotted by someone you know, then guess what? They’re on here too. Do people really think that people will go into work yelling “YOU’RE ON A SWINGERS SITE” at you?!? And do you think you’ll lose your job or lose contracts because you’re on here? Give your heads a wobble!!

It’s entirely down to personal choice though, isn’t it? We send face pics with a first message to avoid wasting anyone’s time, but plenty of equally genuine people will never send a face pic on here at any point, for a number of entirely valid reasons, which is their prerogative.

Both ours are on here, we don't care if people recognise us, I have had a few messages on Facebook from people telling me they saw our profile but I'm not bothered and there's no chance we will meet them for anything, hubby hates one of them anyway so it's a definite no no lol

I don't show my face publicly. Been there once and it ended badly so I'm not going there again but I show it on friends album and I do send a pic of my face when I message someone. I don't think I have encounters where someone would approach me to say they recognise me from somewhere. Not sure I would know what to say to that. Even if someone did, I'm sure they would choose the right timing to say something than oppose to say, in front of someone like customer service desk lol

Not everyone is happy to have a face pic up for anyone to see anyone could set up a profile out of curiosity and checkout locally people.

Some people are happy to put face pics up bug plenty of people like to keep their fab life private.

I personally have face pics for my friends list but I don’t add many friends just people I have chatted to and I’m happy with who they are.

When Ashley Maddison was hacked I (Patrick) had just taken my pics down and realised I’d dodged a bullet.

We would never have face pictures in the public part but we have one in the private section to send to people we want to meet. I have seen someone on here I work with and never mentioned it too her but some people can act very silly and make you feel very uncomfortable because they have seen you on here. We both have jobs where being on this site could cause us to lose our jobs. But each to there own.

One of the reasons nobody takes part in facepic Friday threads in the Irish forums anymore is because of the amount of facepics that have been shared in external chatgroups by both men and women.

If I have a choice between having my pic shared with random strangers or listening to your rant, I'll take the latter.

We only show face pics when we are chatting to someone and we are looking to meet, don’t see the point of throwing them out there to everyone, we can only imagine all the messages people get that do plus we have heard a few people have been bl*ckm*iled, not everyone wants their employer, work colleagues and family knowing there on here especially so if your a couple as it seems more frowned upon by vanilla people than singles on here as they say couples shouldn’t be having sex with others

I don’t know what is silly about it? If someone doesn’t want to show their face to stranger, which they have no idea what could happen to that after its sent. I’d say it’s pretty sensible of them especially if you have parts on show you don’t want repercussions of B-Mail. Like others have said above some could lose their jobs if found on here…

I don’t think you can compare it to going to a club like you have because if you see someone you know there, then they are also in the same boat. It would just be one of those awkward moments. It’s just how you handle it & respect it and move on.

It comes down to how comfortable people are. I won't send a face picture straight away or if others demand it. I like to see if the conversation flows for a little bit first. If either party isn't interested then I don't see the point sending face pictures.

i dont send face pics ever and ill tell u why. I sent a woman a few face pics a few years ago. After meeting she wasnt what i was looking for and i told her this she went nuts. Within the hour i had profiles on here as a gay guy on face book insta with my real name all with my face and saying i was looking for men. Im bi and im not out and i want to keep it that way. So no i wont ever send face pics again. If that means i wont get as many meets than thats fine. Ill do a social meet no probs but no face pics from me.

It's a little uncomfortable to be outed at work, whilst work head is in motion.

I don't like mixing the two at the best of times and those at work, can mind their own business - but saying that, I have been in an uncomfortable situation from a colleague who spotted me without a face pic

Still I send them in a message but only just before meeting. If that doesn't suit the one I'm talking to, then that's their choice.
