Joining a couple for their first threesome especially a bi threesome - big responsibility or not?

My first ffm threesome was mildly awkward. They were super lovely, but i just could not get over my nerves, what to do or say. Now, having been a part of the swinging world for a few years, meeting couples feels more natural.

Also it was me as a single newbie, joining an ‘experienced’ couple. Roles reversed, is it harder? I suppose there needs to communication, and making sure everyone is happy and comfortable. What say you good people?

My first (and only, so far) 3some was with an older couple , this was about 15 years ago. I was quite nervous as i was unsure of the dynamics being with someone else's wife while the husband was there watching and participating. Thankfully they were super friendly, the husband also like to lead so it was less awkward after a while. Had a great time.

Our first mff was a it awkward just because it was the 1st time. The 2nd was perfect. Mrs and the 'other' woman were chatting in the lounge - which was a turn on in itself. Ahhhhhh such fond memories of my first mff...NOT! We met without much chatting/socialising. We all felt awkward,nervous and tense,and in hindsight I should have walked away but at the time felt obliged to try. It was a first for all of us,we didn't really know what we were doing,spent too much time faffing with positions etc and it wasn't that great.

Sometimes the reality doesn't live up to the fantasy

About a month later we all bumped into each other on a night out, got drinks together and had a giggle over how aweful it was

We danced/drank and had a good time...then went back to a hotel and literally fucked all night. It was a much more natural, fluid and relaxed experience which we all enjoyed very VERY much

Don’t think you got any advice here, just people’s firsts!

Don’t think it should be any harder with the roles reversed, and there’s no need to assume the other couple will be nervous as you were yourself the first time, but being aware of it as a possibility is sensible preparation. If you are prepared to take the lead it’s helpful, but it may not be needed or wanted either.

Our first ffm was slightly awkward in the sense that it was all parties firsts. It was nice in a way as we were learning together but there was a lot of checking in to make sure we were all OK with each step as sometimes fantasy can be different to reality. This slowed the flow a little but in some ways it was nice as it was a slow pace and we weren't bull dozed or felt we were holding anyone up.

We have now had a few and good communication in advance usually means it flows a lot easier but that Is also because we truly know our own boundaries now vs learning our way.

For us, being with more experienced would have been a bit intimidating because we would have felt slow. On the counter, we would now happily be with a woman whether experienced or not as we have been new.

....the pandemic put paid to the most recent prospect - plans originally made for last year had to be postponed to this, but subsequently got cancelled due to a change in their circumstances...

My one and only time was great. It was basically a trap sprung by a bi fem couple (I think that's right). I think it's a big responsibility on them. Newbie couples often haven't thought it through and one or both can get jealous during the sex.

We met newbie men as an experienced couple. I think it mostly went ok and they had some fun. We are told we're good at putting people at ease.
