for clearing my inbox. I haven't done it yet but there are a number of unread messages. I don't want to appear rude but chances of me reading them are slim and chances of me replying even slimmer

No never feel bad about it. You need to do what is best for you. Fab can be a place that can play on our minds more than we realise and we all can do with a reset every now and again.

I recently cleared out my friends list and started over again
