Getting into any scene usually takes time, a bit of effort and showing people you are worth getting to know.

Yeah as suggested by many on here already, I would revamp your profile in terms of your pics, add some flare to your description and then hit some clubs or group social gatherings just to start making some friends and hopefully go from there
