recently i just got my decree absolute from my ex wife but a swinging couple have been making trouble for me on here. they have been emailing my friends on here and causing trouble. does the ones in charge on here when you email them listen or do anything about people my ex wife went to live with them is there anything i can do legally about them to stop this i feel like i weant to go to their housing association and other places ive never been bad to them its just they seem hell bent on destroy me what can i do helpxxxmark

If your friends on here are real friends i would hope that they wouldnt take much notice about a random email from a stranger bad mouthing you.

What is there grievance with you and what are they telling your friends on here ?

they are just saying things like im pushy dont trust my profile just making trouble weve had our arguements since the split and ive tried to be fair with them but i feel like giving up on herexxxmark

This may sound extreme, but, if it was me in your situation, i'd delete my profile and start over with a new one! Keeping my face pics private/friends only! Let your friends know before hand and they may re-veri you afterwards!

Given the circumstances you've outlined, I would agree with Edinguy. Otherwise you could spend a lot of time firefighting which you could be spending getting to meet people. Cut your losses mate, and move forward....

Good advice i'd definitely set the new one up and mail the trusted friends and veris and ask them to re-verify the new profile, you shouldn't have to put with the grief but as others have said, this may be the simplest route!

Hi there sorry to hear you have had such a hard time on here...i know how you are feeling about people who go around bad mouthing...its very nasty and sad indeed...we have contacted the admin and site owners on here on numerous occassions and are still waiting to hear back...which frustrates the life out of us as bad mouthing and bullying should not tolerated it states this on the site rules...i hope you have luck and i would say you would probably be better with thinking about a new profile...

well bit of advice id change your profile because naming and shaming aint allowed on the site and you do that in your profile imo thats stooping to the other partys level , admin get 100s of mail a day , a profile is there to show other users what your about and tbh it dont look very good at the moment

Wetandhorny - you won't 'hear back' from Admin. Any action they take is just taken and you'll only know if you check back on those you have reported. They get 100's, if not 1000's of reports every day and to reply to even a small percentage would take loads of time and involve a cost.

Do sympathise with you though.....

If you do set up a new profile mail your friends with the details from your existing one before you close it.

Then don't show your friends list or veris from people who have been contacted.

You can always show veris briefly and take them off again for any potential meets.

lol...i know im sure they are swamped with mail on here..funny enough after a few weeks of this i just got a mail 10 minutes ago from admin..giving us further advice which means at least it has been noted...

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

To the OP...I would report any profiles that are causing problems and let them review it.

As the post above this says, every report is read and dealt with if needed, but unless that person tells you they have had a warning etc then you won't get to know from Admin.
