I suppose I'm wondering how people can meet others sort of socially, and in a way that isn't going to scare the life out of me

The group socials are a good way

Otherwise, I look for well written profiles that pique my interest then see if the conversation through messaging is engaging

We used to go to group socials and have found that quite a few single men are more than happy to meet socially a few times too. I think if you take the approach that you're going to do this in a way that is most comfortable *for you* you'll find that quite a lot of people feel the same way.

Rosie has a ‘burner’ phone just for fab, that’s not associated with any private social media or anything else.

If a convo on here looks okay she moves onto chatting with them on WhatsApp, which filters out most of the wank chat attempts pretty quick.

Then she’ll meet for a social at a local (ish) public place. Usually a pub or coffee shop. We have a 2 hour limit too - if she isn’t interested by then it’s probably a no go.

After that she’ll arrange to play whenever she likes.

Yup, I've been there as a couple and by myself. It's always packed. The killer pool is the main event of the night and everybody joins in.

I’ve never been to a club, do all my socialising at group socials. No pressure environment and I can chat with whomever whenever.

Bonus is being full dressed as I’m quite shy with my in between gym bod I’ve got going on.

There are always people you can meet up with at socials/clubs... find out who goes to ones near you and maybe start a chat and see how you feel?

I haven’t had a FAB meet in so long I’m not sure I’d know the etiquette now lol
