We are going to be in Birmingham for a weekend next month and would love some recommendations on good bars

Probably not looking for swinging clubs but more towards fun alternative/gay bars. We always find these great fun

Any suggestion Fabbers?

There's an actual gay district along Hurst Street. We had a great night out pre-covid at the Missing bar. They have drag queens, karaoke, games. We were a bit d*unk that night, great fun.

We won a bottle of Prosecco for who could drink a pint the quickest (She can swallow quick!) We were so merry we ended up giving it away

Don’t do what I did and mistake the male sex shop on hurst street for a sports / running shop , easy mistake to make.

Digbeth is a really cool area, not necessarily alternative or gay bars but it’s a bit edgy, with a cool atmosphere. Lots of small, independent bars rather than big chain pubs. Don’t be put off my the dark streets with walls covered in graffiti on the way in, it’s a safe place. They actually encourage graffiti there.

Think we might need to try and arrange a bit of a tour with some peeps up for a social. We will be in the area on the 10th and 11th Dec

PM us if you fancy a no pressure social. Just drinking and dancing with no plans for more (unless there is a click)

If you put on "who's near", there's always some Fabbers in the City centre. We're there on the 18th for a comedy gig (and a couple of drinks ).
