Could you be breaking the law?

I heard yesterday that flashing, by sending photos online to someone else who did not want them could be made into an offence...

That would cause problems for a lot of mens profile pics

To be fair it's quite easy to avoid breaking such a law.

I did a forum post on cyber flashing last week. I think if you send the pics unsolicited, that’s illegal.

Well yes possibly but in order to make it an offence and get a charge on them, you’d need to know their name and address. Which NOBODY on here has supplied, in their signing up or within their profile. The only way you’d get an address would be to arrange to meet them, so a bit pointless

Why only men lots of women sending pictures to...

But if it happens people will quickly get their heads around it..

Lol this is brilliant, watch as half the men on fab start running off

Evening out the odds in mens favour would be a sight to see i must admit, could make for some interesting dynamics

That may be so, but it could easily extend to being a bannable offense on the site itself. If a woman receives a cock pick unsolicited then she could then have grounds to report that user and theyll get banned

It's already an offence. I don't know why they keep creating laws upon laws, for the same thing.

If someone dobbed you in then you just say “oh crap, I sent it to the wrong number by mistake”.

Human error and would just get a ticking off.

I am not into flashing myself (a losing idea) but there are lines to be drawn on the legality of this.

Does not being on a site that promotes sexual contact make it "less illegal" or to be expected?

For example, if a guy went to a strip club "for a drink" would he be within his rights to complain to the police that some women were getting naked in there?

What if I were to complain about all the breasts, bums and vaginas on display on Fab? Not too sure the police would do much about it.

Have them on your profile by all means, but don't send them in a msg. It's really not that difficult.

There was an article the other day about a man being found guilty of voyeurism and being given a suspended sentence and community service. He had been taking naked pictures of his partner over a number of years without her permission and she'd found them on his phone.

A bit of a wake up call for fake couple profiles where the male puts up loads of pics of his partner without her knowledge. Also for those who frequent the wife chat threads who will happily share pics of their wives, presumably without their knowledge.

Not sure where Fab itself stands, maybe they should be doing more to prevent these unsolicited photos appearing or being shared. Certainly compulsory photo verification would help despite objections from some.

I am with you Mimi on that point. It may not be illegal (yet) to send them unsolicited but common decency dictates that you should not without permission.

(Editors note: For cock pic with first message guys; look up Common Decency on Google)

Think this may be more about unsolicited photos air dropped by individuals to other unsuspecting people rathe than FABs.

But my first thought when reading the article was why leave your phones Bluetooth on and discoverable in the first place.

I know it’s not right and would not want my daughter to get one but as we all know there are some very sad people out there

how can that be ? a burgler or sex offender does not say hey sorry heres my address ?? someone comes up to you to flash and say hey im about to flash you so before i do heres my name and addy ? lol ...

i belive this flashing law / laws could be used on a larger scale not just against blue tooth flashers i hoe so anyway as broadmined as i am i dont belive anyone should be force in to seeing something they dont want to see ...take the pizza delivery game some on here claim to play ..oh its harmless fun ...is it ?? harmless you you maybe but to others not so as for it being used on fab then at a guess i supposed it could be maybe maybe its time too stop sending naked stuff until asked for that way its good for all maybe... i think people think because it an adult site of sorts that its ok ...oh i dunno just thinking out loud
