^ all of this, tread very carefully, maybe attend a club that has a resident dom/domme to start off with, use the other site extensively and talk to others in the lifestyle to get a feel for what aspects suit your needs best, attend munches and kink events and start networking with people you will soon begin to see your path into the lifestyle and get a feel for what does and doesnt work for you.

My own view is that finding people that meet personal requirements, whether on this site or any other site or circumstances, is difficult.

I think there are competent Dom/mmes on this site, as well as elsewhere.

I have seen too many people initially held up as the best for that same person a few years later to be a pariah.

My suggestion would be to do the work to understand exactly what you want out of your kink dynamic. I am not a brat wrangler but I know brats come in different types. Each needing a different approach. These days there are resources out there to understand what you want in regard to brats. There are YouTube videos and podcasts on brats and brat taming. However, each relationship is unique and personality based. It is not comparable to say rope and impact which are of general application. Therefore I would suggest working on your dynamic before bringing in a third party.

However, if you feel you have done the work and need that extra, I would suggest obtaining recommendations from submissives rather than people putting themselves forward. In which case attending munches and events could be useful.

Like others have said be careful there’s such a large number of people to avoid. But in general I think it’s a good approach to learn hands on directly from someone like that. Think about your interview questions when you meet for socials and cover physical and emotional , SSC and RACK. Good luck

Do not underestimate the benefit of self learning, especially if you're exploring things together. There are loads of books, I can recommend:

More mindset, DS focused:

- Different Loving: The World of Sexual Dominance and Submission

- The new bottoming book

- The Control Book

More SM / sensation play focused:

- Screw the roses, send me the thorns

- SM 101

- The Ultimate Guide to Kink: BDSM, Role Play and the Erotic Edge

There are also plenty of events and munches with workshops, LAM is a good one if you can get to London.

You could also search for your local dungeon. They will have a variety of options eg instruction from a Dom, demonstrations, etc.

I've read the thread Si and Ni and some good points made. BE VERY CAREFUL, about who you trust lots of Wannabe Dom's on this site in particular from my years of being on the site. Worse than wannabes are sadists who about own pleasure in causing pain to others.

From over 25 years of experience in sub/Dom exchanges to differing degrees. Firstly be open and honest about what both parties want and expect, secondly the sub has the Real power as she (in your case) gives her Dom the power to take control. Thirdly seek out local Munchies and meet like minded people who know what they doing. I used to attend classes run by various experienced Doms in all types of play- spanking, ropework , canning etc as if you get it wrong can go very wrong quickly.

Lots of good advice.

Fet…… is an excellent websites which we have belonged to for many years, each with separate profiles.

Something for everyone.

Attending local munches are a good way to meet others socially without the pressure of having to play.

Best way though to explore SM is with each other until you gain experience.

Kink is a lot more personal than swing where trust in play is essential.
