What is the least that someone has ever looked like their profile photos?

I'm talking about people using decades old photos, the most flattering angles the world has ever seen etc.

A friend met a woman only to find it was her husband wearing all her clothes and jewellery...

It’s very hard to quantify how different someone looked, but if there are any sign of filter being used, I’m on edge from the off

We are fairly explicit in who we want to meet and for the same reasons we insist on at least one or two strictly social meets in a public environment.

You would not believe what has turned up to meet us on a few occasions

What were they thinking? We would have a nice social with them, they might get lucky and have a shag!

Because they were nothing like as described, they didn't get anything at all except told to F*** off!

We've seen pictures of people 10+ years ago!

I once went for a coffee with a couple. I didn’t recognise them from the pics they sent.

I initially thought they must have been my parents friends or something that I didn’t recognise when they said hello. Then it registered.

The coffee was good though!

Had this happen to us too, same result, politely told nothing was going to happen, ever!

We always meet in the car park to save any potential embarrassment in the bar.

We literally said, erm no thanks! Got back in our vehicle and drove off!

Golden rule - if you have any doubt don’t travel far and don’t accommodate

If you see a risk be wary

There are loads of nice people on here - don’t get caught out be the rogues

We met a lady who had mastered the art of using good angles. We all like to pick our most flattering photos to share on here but if she hadn’t told us exactly what she was wearing and where she was standing we wouldn’t have known it was her.

I did meet a guy who was a good 15-20 years older than his photos.

Thankfully it was just for a social, and when I queried it he told me it was to get around age filters, he'd "shaved" a few years and used photos of himself at that age.

Social didn't last long. Shame, as he seemed a very sociable bloke, but I couldn't get past the lie.

I was told recently that I don't resemble my photos. I've taken full length clear photos, they aren't photoshopped and the only filter is black and white or darkening the edges of the photo if I think the background might be distracting, not sure what else I can do. I'm certainly not out to catfish anyone!

Haha, all very familiar . It's amazing what a 2 second video saying "Hi [name]" can do to show you if photos (irrespective of angle and filter) are representative or not.
