My FAB appeal has just plummeted as I have reached the age of 60.

I was always aware that a number of people have 60 as a cut off age in their profiles and all the time I was in my late. 50s I was OK to chat, be seen etc.

Now I have noticed a big change

So -

Those nearing 60 beware !!!

If their age limit is set to 60 then you're still OK for 12 months.

I did notice I fell outside many profiles when I hit 51.

People can have preferences including age. If I don't want to hear from a 60 year old, getting a message from a 60 year old who is lying about his age to get past my filters isn't going to impress

Men always moan about blokes pretending to be women, or bi guys pretending to be straight so as not to "put people off", lying about your age to bypass filters is just as unacceptable.

I'm 58,and feel exactly the same,despite being martial arts trained and physically fit,treat lady's in the way they should be treated,with respect,being a gentleman obviously doesn't work.

You had a meet couple of weeks ago just edit your age on your profile

Lying about your age will find you out if you do get a meet so why do it. Just accept that's the way thing are.

It's all part of the ageing process. I'm in my 70's and still have the same desires albeit somewhat diminished. Still managed to get a couple of meets despite my limitations and in the process of discussing another one soon.

Orif people send over old photos then turn up at my house looking visibly different I feel no guilt in telling them & calling a halt to any potential meet even a social, I just wouldn't give them another minute of my time if I felt I'd been deceived

Our age range is upto 60, but that’s my preference, more than Mike’s. However, we are good friends with a couple, and he is in his early 60s. I generally prefer men similar to my own age. However, if I met a man I fancied, it wouldn’t matter how old he was.

Happens at various age points I think.

What I would do (and have done when relevant) is to focus on those who are interested. Pretty sure you can use the search facility to match yourself up with those that are no excluding you on the basis of your age.

No point putting any energy into trying to meet those who don't want to meet you. That's my thinking.

For my sins I am 81, my activity on here has hit the buffers due to various medical problems.

I was 67 when I joined Fab and although not exactly inundated with offers managed to get the odd meet right up to the start of the Covid problems.

Put your mind into determination mode and start messaging all the lovely ladies on here who are over 60.

Never give up! There are plenty of over 60 singles and couples on here. Maybe not as many as you would like but still a lot of us manage to get meets.
