Feeling frustrated

This isn’t a “Woe is me… poor single guy” post…

So lately it seems like the universe is just conspiring against me with regards to swinging, 2 socials I’ve had to miss on short notice due to unforeseen reasons (child in A+E and vehicle breakdown), and a first trip to Chams in Newport missed because of Covid.

It’s basically put me on a real low point with regards to the lifestyle and left me feeling frustrated and wondering if it’s worth the effort anymore.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or similar and have actually managed to come out the other side in a more positive way?

I think we have all gone through phases where things have cropped up and it’s altered our plans or we’ve gone through dry spells for whatever reason.

It’s important to remember those things were out of your control. The best thing you can do is rearrange your trip to Chams and look forward to that.

I’m sure once you’ve been there you’ll feel more positive

I’m struggling to find the motivation. It’s a 2.5 hour journey and part of me is thinking “something is bound to go wrong”…

"Could you not rearrange the things you missed?."

The 2 socials were organised group socials from the forums, I’m worried I’ll now not get further invites

Definitely. Have 2 cock blockers living with me and their other parent decided he doesn't need to play any active role in their upbringing. I rarely have time away for myself and yes it gets very frustrating indeed

I'm currently of the opinion to not expect anything - difficult to be disappointed then

Oi you, shit inevitably happens and you can't help it. Plus you promised me a social when I get my arse in gear

I'd say don't take it to heart but also make sure you have other outlets.

We swing 4-5 times a year when the stars align.

So it's really important that you have other means of forming intimate relationships outside of fab.

Timing plays such a critical role in these matters. Just remember to keep putting yourself out there and things will eventually fall into place

Thanks for the advice so far guys… I’m trying to be positive but it’s just so annoying that it’s been EVERYTHING planned recently has been messed up one way or another.

I’ve put “available to meet” on and I’m having a browse…
