Can understand single guys having no luck , but how is this possible ?

Why is everyone so desperate to get verifications?

I have a few but not one from everyone I've met and I don't hound people to give me one ... it would be like asking for a tip!

The ones I do have I hide and I'm sure other people hide thiers too ... they're a personal compliment to me ... not an advertisment.

Veris make it easier to get meets. Especially if the person who has verified you has a good reputation (ie meets often and has a reliable opinion about if they look like pics and are nice).

If someone has been verified by someone I have met or by someone who has also verified someone I have met then I feel a bit more relaxed about meeting them.

Though I will meet the unverified but I will usually ask for them to verify their pics first.

To get a reasonable feel for whether they are real for a start - the thread was started to suggest that those single women or couples who have none may not exist ?

It's not a thread to extol the virtues of whether verifications are good , bad or indifferent

I've met couples that ahve not been verified but been members for over a year - yes a bit suspicious they were real - but all worked out OK so they are out there

Some have no pics and state they would only reply to profiles and messages with pics and some even send you a friend invite as well

I really don't care about verifications. I did when I first started on here (been here for ages just made a new profile after deleting the old one a couple of weeks ago). A lot of the guys who had stunning veri,s were simply not my cup of tea. They obviously "did it" for the previous girls that had met them but after seeing such glowing references I was rather let down when their idea of a good time was not mine. I know just follow my instinct when chatting to guys and have been rather more successful!

We met such a couple on Saturday night - they preferred anonymity with respect to verifications as it made them more exclusive !

Fine with us as indeed they really did exist

I have met a couple with no verification, on here for over a 12 month, they arrived on time, were great to be with, very attractive to boot and insisted on the fact that they would not verify me and that I was not to verify them,

fair do's, 2 years later they are still on here and unverified, we've met 3 times in that period.

My wife used to use verifications as research, such as he has been with a woman my age/ shape before vs he has been with younger etc and would use that as part of her decision on whether to meet.. But that can go too far, we met a single guy who told us that a couple hehad been planning to meet had noticed that one of his previous verifiers had changed the male halfs preference to 'bi curious' and cancelled their meet for that reason.....

The ones I find odd are those which have the meet request up virtually every day and a status proclaiming such things as " great night - you know who you are " etc and yet never get verified. They are not seeking to be anonymous so that's not the reason and even if they don't choose to display the verification the green flag should appear

It does appear a little suspect particularly if there are no photos.

However, I had one of the most fantastic nights with a couple who had no verifications, no pictures and one line of text - it screamed of time-waster or single bloke in disguise etc.

What convinced me? It was speaking to the lady on the phone.

It goes to show that you just can never tell!

Its frustrating to be tarred with the same brush as every other timewaster just cause I'm a single guy. I've had to re-arrange meets due to real life stuff but been able to give plenty of notice. I've never cancelled last minute or disappeared and not been heard from but people just assume that I will because I'm single.

I totally agree, i have some on my profile for just that reason.

None of my verifications are explicit sexually and never will be.

As a previous poster has said i meet people who do not do me verifications, and i dont do them for them for various reasons they would appear on my profile anyway.

As for people cancelling meets for guys having 'bi curious' on their profiles that is just odd.

What I find frustrating and off putting are those profiles that have been on the site for a year, have zero pictures in their gallery (public or private) and a one line profile. The mind boggles.
