how frequent do you test and how many test ...sti

ok just thinking as you do how many people % wise do you think via the swinging scene get tested ?? and if you get tested how often and if you never get tested why not .... this is not a lets have a go its more what are we thinking numbers wise what do you think the % are ....this is NOT a question on if you play safe or not as being tested should never be based on that anyway...

so our thoughts are ...

people geting tested = 10% or less

we get tested between evey 6 week to 3 months based on how regular we play the more we play its every 6 weeks

we have always tested its something we have done right from the very start of swinging

so what do you think ?

I test every 6 weeks. I think testing should be part and parcel of swinging personally.

We would get tested more often if we could, but around here we have to make an appointment - when they're actually available - at the clinic, as we've no walk in test centres and the postal ones are not available (unless we pay lots)

Regular testing certainly helps but is not a panacea eg there is no reliable test for mycoplasma genitalium which can cause nasty ongoing infections ditto for genital warts and herpes

Don’t want to take the fun out of things but be careful out there folks

its a guess as that what i was asking how many do you think get tested not as if there any oficial numbers for swingers i think the number is very low so put 10% but would not mind it being even lower ...

i do some unpaid work for a hiv charity helping with handing out condoms n lube and booking people in for test by the end of most nights the condoms and lube is all gone but this list on bookings for test is way below 10% and i think this is proberly about right for swinging just my thoughts nothing official ...

test for what? just a pee test for chlamydia and ghonorreha or who actually does a full panel std test for herpes, hpv, aids/hiv, hep a, hep b etc?

also testing every 6 weeks wont allow certain STDS to develop so you will show a negative result but could still be infectious x
