An interesting one just sprang to mind. This was while house sharing with two work colleagues some years ago.

We had become friendly with two girls who rented across the road from us. We would do our own thing during the week but decided we needed a code word if someone was entertaining and wanted to be left alone.

So the code word or words were if we came home to find someone in the company of a lady would be to say "I'm putting the kettle on, does anyone fancy a coffee?"

If the reply was "sorry we've run out of coffee" then that was code for piss off to bed and leave us alone.

Just interested to know if anyone had anything similar while house sharing??

Last time I shared a house was a uni, then if we came home and found someone entertaining, we'd just ask "do you want me to piss off so you two can shag?"
