I was out in Leeds the other Friday night, just minding by own business in a hotel bar early doors when a woman asked if she could sit next to me & a new friend. Okay.

Well soon it emerged that she fancied me (shocker) and after agreeing to her taking a photo of me she put her husband on the phone. Her husband who was currently in another country.

He was saying things like he hoped I'd look after her and to make sure I sent him photos of whatever we get up to in her hotel room. Er hang on she said she was getting the last train back to Manchester later. Which was it?

Anyway I played along to try to figure out if this was real or just a bit weird. The husband & wife's stories not lining up gave me reason to doubt them both.

If I was agreeable to meeting them both when he came back to the UK she said... No mention of anything that night. Very strange.

I've heard tell of couples who go out together in search of a threesome but never a solo woman recruiting.

I think I definitely did the right thing listening to the brain in my head & putting the brakes on but what the hell was the game, I can't help wondering ever since

Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

I gathered that much pretty quickly so I didn't give much away about myself . Figured it was some sort of con or grift but WHAT? It's bugged me ever since.

The old adage that if something seems too good to be true it probably is, always seems apt.

News to me:

Apparently it's not uncommon now for scammers to entrap willing fools (like I nearly was) to use recorded evidence of a meet against them. Oof! Be careful out there folks!

There are couples that like to play those sort of games and get off on knowing/seeing/hearing about sexual meets either during or after.

I once met a guy from Fab supposedly for a 3 sum with his partner. She turned up much later that evening after we had started but stayed downstairs listening to his phone that was switched on so she could hear us.

I never did play with them as a 3 sum because they wanted me to send a recorded message the next day to her describing how wonderful he was.

Not my kind of thing and I actually was more attracted to her than him.

Not my kind of thing and I actually was more attracted to her than him.

I considered that but there was just too much that seemed suss to go through with it. That & I was after a good night out rather than any sexy fun

I'd be concerned she was trying to distract you while trying to steal your purse.

Their stories not lining up would be a massive red flag for me.

I would hazard a guess that there are three possibilities.

1 she's fulfilling some kind of dare/fantasy and they just get off on her approaching people.

2 it's a scam of some sort

3 it's genuine

I have in the past left my hubby sitting away from me in a bar at a hotel we were staying at. I liked to see if anyone chatted me up and it was quite a thrill to know he was watching. We used to pretend he was late meeting me and he would phone to say he would be an hour late. I did on more than one occassion go to someones room for a quickie, always texting the room number and keeping in touch with hubby downstairs.

Not done that for a long time now....I did get asked to leave one hotel bar when the barman thought I was on the game. Hubby had to quickly "turn up" and rescue me....barman was so embarressed we got free drinks all night!!!
