Well thank God you are a truck driver as they are in short supply

We need all types of people in the world and academic achievement should not be considered the only measure of worth. I’ve known PhDs with no common sense whatsoever.

Have to admit that poor grammar annoys me a bit BUT if the message is nice and polite then no big deal. Poor grammar doesn’t always correlate to a lack of intelligence.

I hated school, didn't apply myself. Dyslexia didn't help. Yet I would say I've been very succsuccessful in life post school. Typical education routes don't fit all. As for the wages your paid, a lot of its not how much education you have, how much you know, how smart you are, time in job or the value you offer to society. Your labour and skill-set is a commodity that is bought by your employer. It's worth is often to do with the availability of your skill commodity in the job market at that time and the value in its ability to make profits for you employer.

Would it stop you from meeting a lady if she messaged you with bad grammar and spelling?

It would be Interesting to know how many people would avoid those profiles! Especially those who say it’s so hard to get a meet! But that’s a whole other thread haha! Thanks for posting something that I was able to read really easily, normally my dyslexic brain would have to read a correctly spelt thread at least three times before I understood it! So for me no I haven’t noticed the increase in bad spelling, but I have noticed the increase in people feeling the need to correct it Miss pc

Grammer mean nothing, i know people who cant spell yet have built up built up businesses that employ god knows how many people, they drive the latest cars and live in beautiful houses, how many of the ho so perfect on here can do that with their " perfect" gramer and snobery.

To fair I think as someone dyslexic and prone to spelling and grammar gaffs I'm sort of the target. I know its a matter of interpretation but to me it's just a joke. I personally didn't take it as cold or mean. Just a light hearted interaction. Not particularly cleaver or of any quality, just a little attempt to join in the conversation (as people often do). I take no malice from it. But then it is 2021 and the Internet is still a very sensitive place.
