Finding folk in same hotel

I’m staying in the Crowne Plaza in Sheffield in two weeks and wondering if I might find a fellow fab user there at the same time.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them and acted upon it?

There did actually used to be an app for that, I can’t remember what it’s called sadly, which I realise makes that information fairly useless, but anyway, I used to be in hotels all the time and tried it occasionally, but it’s user base was way too small, nothing ever worked out.

As long as you have your location service on on your phone just click who’s near and if they are within 1/4mile they are likely in your hotel

. Yes this happened to me when I met a friend for a drink at a hotel bar I received a message from someone staying at the hotel I was having a drink at.

No done pre arrange meets in the same hotel and did once have a conversation who was down as near. Turned out they were in the hotel next door but no we don't do spontaneous meets.

I did have it happen to me in Southampton once.

It was a topsy turvy night for sure. I had original made plans with two single guys to come and have a threesome but one cancelled at last minute and the other went awol and I never heard from him again.

To say I was frustrated was an understatement, I ended up on cam in the forums and against my better judgement I accepted an offer from a guy to come around right away. He was a literal pump and go on cam, doubt he was in room for more than five minutes

After that I got chatting with someone on my close by list and turns out he was only a few doors down, couldn’t believe it. Much nicer experience with him and we spent quite a bit of what was left of the evening together

This happened to me!

Not so much Hotels but we used the whose near function for a laugh while out for drinks while on holiday a few years back, another couple were within walking distance!

After a few curious messages we joined them for drinks. Just socially no adventures

Being on my own stuck in hotel room I of course was on Fab a fair bit at night and noticed this girl had put up a "Meet today" flag on her profile. She'd arranged a meet with a guy but he ended up standing her up. So she altered her profile and we got chatting and we found out we were 2 floors apart in the same hotel.

You can be assured I did not stand her up!
