Actually reading your post I reckon he's on about the cervix. I wouldn't say I've been able to feel it on every woman I've been with but certainly a few, I can see how he'd assume it was hanging down because it does feel like coneish sort of shape so you can run your finger around it. It's very hard to explain. If he's got big fingers etc then he would rub around that.

Maybe he is referring to the vaginal rugae, which is the little bumps and ridges inside a vagina.

It could be the coil strings, but then like another poster said, has every single woman he's had sex with had a coil. It cannot be the coil itself, because the coil sits inside the womb and not the vagina, thats how prevents pregancy, by preventing implantation. when I was going to get a coil I asked my GP as she's very well informed. She said that since I was due my smear she'd take a look and see if she could fit it as she does a fair few. She told me I'd need to book with the consultant at the Family Planning Clinic.

So off I bobbied to the FP to book the appointment and got told I needed to speak to the nurse before they booked me in. No bother I thought.

She was very disparaging about my GP and told me that She'd be able to fit it - she'd never failed yet... (Can you spot where we're going?)

Ten minutes of rummaging around like a puppeteer who's lost his car keys and she says that I need to book with the consultant!

So I did. And when my appointment came round he asked if I minded two other specialists watching as they were doing a study about coils and were asking everyone that week. Nah says me. Every woman is different just like every man. It doesn't go off height either as some short women can be deep and vice versa.

The only other thing I have noticed is that if the women has had a hysterectomy it can be quite a bit shorter inside.

Ditto, in colour! Why did they do that? It's gone now but the image still appears every once in a while.

the gynaecologist was saying "ooh look at your lovely cervix" just before she inflicted excruciating pain on me and the nurse at my shoulders had to pin me down....

Poor you. When I still had one they would always ask if students could have a look at mine as it showed them what an eroded cervix looked like.

People, be careful what you do in there - you can wear them out.
