I can beat that ..... here is a funny but 100% true storey regarding age (some know this already)

A few years back I had been chatting to a really nice lady, cracking pictures etc and after about 4 weeks we decided to meet up near Hull , it was an Autumn evening and we agreed to meet up in a pub car park at first - she knew what car I had and its reg etc , so no surprise that she drove up to me straight away and parked up behind me , i watched her open her door and her sexy looking legs slide out of her car, she walked down the passenger side and slid into my car ........then when she looked at me is was confronted by a badly made up OLDER women at least 30 years older than her profile, who's first words where i kid you not "I'm here to help you redeem and become one of gods followers and repent your wicked sins" ....I genuinely started to laugh got out of my car and went around to open the door to help the old lady out and drove off

Beat that lol

I went for a coffee at someone’s house. Her pictures were stunning, great body, gorgeous lips and smile etc. Got there to a badly lit red light house and was confronted by a woman who admitted to witchcraft - who didn’t have a tooth in her head. I wonder what happened to her lol. I drank the coffee and got out of there

I got another one ABC........ which was not so funny ending.......

Cracking looking women, lovely "recent pics" who invited me to her house in Huddersfield - got there pulled up outsode a really horrid looking house, broken windows dirty curtains and this really dirty looking women stoot on the door step in a dressing gown - i stood at the end of her path, she confirmed i was at the right house, I just said "sorry but your not the same person I have been chatting with" she replied "yeah I am just tarted myself up for you after all its only sex" with that i turned and got back into my car with her ranting on at me....... she proceeded to stalk me on line on here

There are some funny folk around - I another far more serious event with MF couple off here where I had to involve the police lol

If they make themselves younger it doesn't do them any favours because I'd look at their picture and think, they haven't aged well.

When I first joined I got chatting to a 30yr old lady that's no longer on here.

Cutting a long story short we got on and arranged to meet.About a hour before the meet she messaged me telling me she still wanted to meet but had lied about her age as she was actually 46 but it was still her in her pictures but the pictures were from a few years ago.

I did feel deceived but told her we could still meet and if nothing happens then there's nothing lost.Anyway we met and she looked stunning and we got on really well.I just couldn't understand why she had a need to lie as she was gorgeous.I just don't understand some people's reasons for lieing as it will all come out if you do meet.

I'm the same.

I would much rather be a more youthful looking genuine 48, than pretend to be 38.

Much better for my ego

so because some one is insecure its ok ??

even thou people have an age range for a reason?

but no poor old mr who 70 is ok to lie so he can get a woman in her 50s ...no deffo not on .....and the other way round to not just men..

i do however understand those's that put a year or 2 on/off so the detectives of the site cant figuer out stuff thats totally fine but 5 ..10 ..20 ...even 30 is not funny be who you really are or dont nother

"I met someone the other week who had lied about her age was 20 years old than she said. What would u do has anyone experienced similar

"

I've met two women who both purported to be 51, but turned out to be much older in real life. One was 65, and when she opened her front door to me, I first thought I had got the wrong address, then nearly asked if her daughter was in

In each case, I politely said they weren't for me. These days, when messaging through here, I make a point of stating my age is correct on my profile, which gives the person I'm chatting with the opportunity to 'come clean' if for some reason, her profile age may be incorrect........

Yep, the date on the bottom of profile pics is the date of the upload in here, and people do 'recycle' old pics. A simple "Are your profile pics recent?" is a good question

Newry Down

The principal lesson to be gained from the above is that socials or clubs are the best way to meet like-minded singles and couples; everyone likes to present themselves in the most favourable light, but some take this to an extreme!

If profile photos were published with metadata attached, that is the date on which the pic was taken, this might provide an additional check.

So they can fit into age criteria of some cpls.

We met a cpl for social was 45 yr Fab age, turned out to be defo over 50. Still good looking .

After a year ,they closed their profile. Now back again after two years and still under 50 . Lol

We generally add 5 years to what's put on Fab .

Erm because some people get some sort of sad pleasure from trolling and timewasting. In an ideal world it wouldn't happen but it does so you have to take precautions to ensure you're not the one getting catfished/duped/shafted etc. I think it's absolutely pathetic but it's way too idealistic to think people would just stop faking shit because the other party might feel aggrieved/hurt by it.

BTW who uses emails to converse these days apart from for business or buying stuff etc online?!

as said we will carry on with what works for us no phones no apps no emails just fab or what ever site we are on very rare we get let down been on the scene 28 years and fab since the beging less than 10 no shows in all that time and a really bad stalker incident and the odd few who have lied age/size n stuff ...

we see the ones that use the apps on here makes no difference as we still see them moaning about no shows and other ..

My age isn’t exact on here….it used to be, but now it’s out…by just a little….as people genuinely try to find me on social media…OFTEN and my age can be seen on there…and so because of this nothing is entirely accurate…not trying to fool anyone, merely keeping the stalkers at bay…and yes, there are plenty of them. Even my location is inaccurate….not miles away, but not Durham

I can kinda get why you might say 39 instead of 40, the psychological effect, but pretending to be a vastly dofferent age just seems pointless. At the end of the day if I find someone attractive and we click, then that's more important than their age.
