A general question really........... pay membership then the cost for entry when they are not working and claiming either job seekers allowance or other benefit. I think I would prefer to use the cost of entry for other essential items.

So are you saying only those in employment should be allowed to go to clubs?

Sorry to hear you have been laid off and of course eating/bills are a priority over sex. Your opening post seemed ambiguous in it's intent hence my response.

A night at a club for a single woman is usually cheaper than a night out round town. (Or the cinema, as I found out the other night! )

I made no presumption..I asked a question as the purpose of the post was unclear.

OK, I'll admit that I'm confused by this thread.

What is the question? Is there even a question?

Most of the clubs I attend it's free on the nights I go for single ladies. I can always get a lift and someone always covers my drinks. Now I'm not on benefit but I'd still be able to go anyway.

If that is your question, it wasn't clear in the original post.

I'd say you should spend your money as best suits you, and leave others to do the same.

As already mentioned, clubs tend not to be that expensive for single women.

Club entry for women is less than a pack of fags or a couple of glasses of wine, if I'm not mistaken.

Blokes on the dole, however... yeah, good luck with that!

"what a nutty post"

I "think" I understand what the OP was trying to say.... can you justify spending money on membership and entry on a club when money is tight....

of course the answer is no.. but it brings up one of my bugbears which is I don't think clubs that make people pay both membership and entry on a first visit are in a sense helping themselves...

absolutely missing a trick.....

thanks _abio for that having read about some clubs they ask for a membership fee then entry fee...... ok some clubs say fems are free membership and then a nominal charge for entry.............. a guy can pay £25 membership then entry of £35 not a cheap night out.........and when not working well i know what i would do with my money if was a guy .......day to day living
