Recently started going out again and noticed not many girls wearing a Bra you always had one or two in a bar but I’m talking 80%..

Especially the under 30’s ..

Is this a new trend ?

Is it girls feeling more body confident nowadays?

Anyway I’m loving it ..

Or is this just a north west thing ?

Think the UK is just catching on. Kinda standard in many countries throughout the world and certainly in Russia

I haven't worn one in years now, my friends and sister never don't either. I think they'll become more of a thing of the past xx

When I was in my teens/ early 20s most women I knew didn't wear one especially if it didn't work under their outfit. I think it's more that gravity takes hold more as we age so we need a bra

Loads of women still wear bras , they are not becoming a thing of the past. There has always been a percentage of women not wearing them.

They offer good support during the day. But on a night out braless is more common.

Since going out after lockdown..it’s obvious the fashion has changed..

Go to pubs where younger people go and see for yourself..

A friend of mine pointed it out, and we then noticed hardly a bra in the building

Exactly this!

I've always worn good quality bras, which is why my boobs - though huge - aren't saggy.

This, a good quality proper fitting bra keeps gravity at bay.

There is no evidence to support(no pun intended) that wearing a bra will prevent saggy boobs or that not wearing one causes it

He's obviously an expert in the field, but to poor, encumbered boob-growers like myself, it's definitely smacks of mansplaining!

Wouldn't want to cause car crashes...

As someone with a big bust I have to wear a bra 90% of the time they ache if I don’t….not to mention the scene simple things like waking down the road causes haha

On a night out if my outfit won’t work with a bra I’ll go braless, but I’m a big fan of sexy lingerie so I’m happy to keep mine

Elle xx

Short of wearing bras and removing the same cup every time and doing this for thirty odd years, then it's hard to tell.

Lefty loosey : right tighty. Sounds like a subject for a TED Talk.

This content

"I do not want saggy boobs so will continue to wear mine." Where it seems that you think wearing a bra will stop you getting saggy boobs.

And it wasn't my opinion, it's fact, look it up

It's probably more dependent on the clothing that's in fashion...some tops and dresses can't really be worn with a bra or it would look silly. When I went out clubbing a trend was see through tops so we used to buy really nice bras to show off

Yes, it's something I've noticed too. I think maybe it's because the younger generation are a bit more open minded and not so offended at the sight of a nipple. I've always thought those who are much older can be quite prudish about it.

"no i wear mine when working or anything formal but evenings and weekends i like to be bra free"

A bra makes no difference and doesn't prevent sagging. It's all down to genetics or even things like breastfeeding, aging, weight loss etc.

Bras can help support the cooper ligaments though which can stretch and cause sagging
