Yes they are, it will give you semi permanent size results, according to some with regular use they can be almost permanent, but more importantly they help blood flow into the vessels and open them up, creating harder and fuller erections when not using one

I got a manual pump one out of curiosity, it seemed to hurt my pubic bone, like the vacuum pressure dug the rim in. I was going slow with the pumps. So either I am just not cut out for them, the product is wrong or I was doing it wrong.

Anyone used an electric/ battery one? Maybe they are better

It sounds like you were over pumping a bit, the pressure will pull it towards you, but at the same time pull your cock into it, it’s just a case of pumping a couple of times less so it stops just short of causing discomfort
