I’m sure many people have realised by now that there’s a lot of fake accounts passing off photos of others as their own.

Obviously you can report these profiles and admin will eventually remove them. But what about the other accounts that verify them as real and say they’ve met these people? What’s people’s thoughts? I’ve had messages through regularly from new accounts asking me to verify them.

For example I’ve just been on page 1 of hot pics… an account is using photos of somebody I know. Reported the profile which has meet verifications but hasn’t been photo verified (because they aren’t real). Shouldn’t the accounts verifying them and saying they’ve met be removed/penalised also? Because they are potentially putting others at risk of harm or of being scammed/set up.

I've had my pics/vids taken from here and put on other sites didnt even know till people from here tell me! And yes if u fake verri someone u shd b bought up on it! It tells u before u verri someone that u will b took to task if u fake verri someone x

I reported a fake female profile once, I was instantly blocked by admin from seeing that profile, yet other members could still see it for months after I’d been blocked.. to my knowledge it was never verified.

In a bid to stop people from stealing my pics I now watermark across my photos, it would take sometime and effort to remove, but as they say ‘locks only keep out honest people’

I could meet someone today using pics of me and get verified from meeting someone.

Tomorrow I could change all my pics to Ron Jeremy.

Should the person who verified me today be penalised?

Some strange folk about! I’d hate to think of someone passing off as me/someone else while deceiving people or worse. Think watermarking could be the way to go, just doesn’t help when they are using photos from someone’s social media as an account is on hot pics right now.

Hopefully the admins follow up on that warning of fake veris x

I think that would have to be to the discretion of the admin and the case itself. If they can see messages of planned ‘verification for verification’ or similar then yes both should be banned.

But would it be fair to say if the account using others photos can’t provide a proven photo of themselves e.g like photo verification when asked, then the other profile should get penalised too? Unless of course admin could clearly see they had changed photos after the verification has been made.

Personally I wouldn’t meet anyone that isn’t photo verified anyway for this very reason.

Just because we think someone is fake doesn't mean they are. Admin has a system in place for reports of fakes and fake veri's that can be verified. They do a lot of work behind the scenes and people who report are helping them do that
