"Is expensive lingerie worth it? Do you ladies know the difference and can tell the quality? " Yes and no. In my opinion it is worth it if it is by someone independent such as Dita Von Teese or What Katie Did. Perhaps I am very cynical (and I do admit to being a very cynical and sceptical consumer) but Agent Provocateur seems overpriced to me for what it offers. If it is not made of silk then I do not see how a few scraps of artificial material and some straps could cost hundreds of pounds. I found some decent lingerie in the past in Primark, still have a red bra from it that I even used for one of my acts. I have a big box full of beautiful lingerie and it has come from all sorts of places. Ann Summers has contributed to my collection with a red lace body which is perfect for public impact play and teal bra, knickers and suspender set which is beautiful and sturdy so great for parties as well. My everyday lingerie is from the silk mix range in M&S (Rosie Autograph) - there is nothing like silk, even if there is only a quarter of it. I also have two excellent bodies from the same range as well as some items I found online or randomly at H&M or Forever 21. My weekend lingerie often involves a girdle (when I do not plan to undress), one of the best ones I have is vintage Triumph. Now there is a brand that stood the test of time! I have a baby corset from What Katie Did and corselettes as well (I would have gotten the whole merry widow but their shapes do not work for my breasts). I also have a few explicit items from Lovehoney which also serve their purpose very well. A lot of it is to do with luck and spotting things that will be good, taking the time to search and utilising Ebay for discontinued models. Recently I obtained 15 boxes of my favourite stockings which used to be sold by Debenham and which I hoped to find and struck lucky on Ebay. Peace of mind restored for a good while now. | |||
