A conversation has brought up a phrase I hear often and think it would be fun to hear people’s definitions! So folks, how would you define a “hardened swinger”? And what does that person look like in your head?!

We were in the pool at Eureka recently and it wasn't heated. Much colder and we would have been frozen solid, which would be an example of hardened swingers.

Hardened swingers are like hardened drinkers or hardened gamblers. - People who have lost any pleasure but feel compelled to carry on.

I would imagine a "hardened swinger" would be someone who knows how it goes and has discovered the various pitfalls..(time wasters ect) and is still enjoying the scene.

Oh - in that case I’m a ‘hardened swinger’. Tbh I’m relieved. I thought being a ‘hardened swinger’ meant I’d get a tough fanny one of these days!

For us it's the ones looking to swing virtually every day, constantly looking to meet even though they've just had some meets.

When you become hardened to something is would generally mean that the downside no longer bothers you and you carry on regardless

East Cheshire

Those who have been swinging a long time and lost all intimacy and excitement as a result, preferring 'wham-bam' meets to slow, passionate build-ups that lead to real love making. Sex for them is more mechanical, without feeling, rushed then kicked out the door.
