Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of good points but I always feel that guys going overboard about how great I am are imagining something in their head that isn't the truth. That's only going to lead to disappointment. In reality, my looks are pretty ordinary and my body is not to everyone's taste.

I have to agree. Always speak as I find and that is either good or bad depending on what is said I guess!

And I have always cringed at the 'you look great for 50' comments. Why add the age factor? Either someone looks good to you or they don't.

And as for complimenting you in total before seeing all of you? Over my head. But a compliment like 'That is a very pleasurable body' should be OK.

Personally I don't think you look too shabby ..

I think people have different definitions of the word... It's not a word I would want to use to describe anyone, but I've always thought it referred to those people consider to be ugly. As previous posters have said, everyone has their own opinion so one person's beautiful may well not be attractive to someone else.
