Why is it so difficult to find GENUINE single guys to meet? Don't want married/attached guys. They seem keen to meet and then either dont turn up or something crops up at the last moment. So f**king frustrating.

There's so much pressure and competition that a lot of guys bottle it as they might not be able to back up their claims once they actually meet. Seen this myself when i was on here before with my ex.

I think that lots think it would be incredibly exciting to meet someone just for sex. Then when it gets to the reality shit themselves and back out.

I backed out if my first club visit but tried again about a year later. It was only on the morning that I thought "Ok, I'm definitely going today" and haven't looked back.

Hay all, not tried looking for single guys myself so can’t really comment. However I think things will improve as things return to normal before Covid. Think isolated for so long has taken it toll on a lot of people. That said i can’t really speak about the ghosting part. If something arranged then I’ll be there, nervous or not (I’ll be nervous lol) I wouldn’t agree to something I couldn’t go through with. Not sure why people put themselves in that position but hope things improve for all and happy fabbing all

It'd be easy to read something like this and join the chorus of 'hey, I'm genuine, won't cancel' and all that. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter how genuine I am if I'm still not what you're looking for.

I've read similar comments and status updates a lot recently. There does seem to be a lot of cases of guys who are lucky enough to grab a woman's attention not living up to expectations. The whole 'too good to be true' thing.

Is there a solution? In reality, I suspect not really. Just got to keep trying, explore as many avenues as possible and stay positive. Easier said than done.

What's happened to this site?

As a married guy im happy to meet on my own as much as meet with my wife. We have a couples account and singles accounts. Anyone who has met us knows this and it's worked out well on occasions.

But if I approach anyone on my solo account lately, 99% of the time it's always "you're cheating or your unreliable" or whatever arbitrary reasons based on the actions of others.

Firatly, Ok yeah i know there are some people cheating on here and it sucks (we wouldnt knowingly get involved in that) but it's a still a swinging site. Its ridiculous that this "wont meet married men" (but have no problem meeting married women) is so prevalent on fab these days.

Secondly in our experiance I'd argue single guys are pretty flakey as whilst I do turn up, the actual "single guys" dont. In the past 4 weeks i was one of the few guys to turn up out of many at a recent party and last week there was 20 "single guys" with their names down for our social event (which had a big crowd attending). Not one showed up (at least that we saw).They either mailed in an excuse just before or just where complete no shows.

So if you want to argue that single guys are somehow more reliable than married guys, our experiance says completely otherwise.

Mert whoever you want under whatever terms you want, that's your choice but be people on fab need to stop acting like everyone who fits I to a certain category is the same.

To be fair I’m not so much worried though about the meets as it happens when and if likewise when ever meeting someone you like. It’s the trying to learn and get involved socially on the forums that I find difficult. Still kind of feel like the outsider trying to introduce themselves to make friends and chat with people lol

Could be a lot of reasons why people may bottle it. I'm single and although difficult to find meets on here, but the meets and socials I've had so far have been quite enjoyable. I prefer face to face meets anyway, even for a social coffee to get to know someone. You learn more about that person so much better than texting

I include myself in that first group. I’m sure there are a multitude of reasons for that such as poor profile, crap photos or simply not attractive.

But I can’t get my head around how so many single guys would be disingenuous and unreliable when many of us would jump at a meet with the right person.

Because males of any species are programmed to have sex and reproduce with anyone and everyone, its the females that have to be picky and pick a good mate to produce good offspring.

Hence all or most males are horny and want more sex than there partners can provide (usually)

I went dogging a few nights ago after replying to a meet on Fab.

I must have been talking to the lady/couple for about an hour.

Within that time at least 12 cars must have turned up, parked up and left shortly afterwards.

I was the only guy and had her all to myself.

Guys simply bottle it

Some single guys are genuine, some are nervous but the majority are bullshiters

I have noticed this too, the genuine single guys I've spoken to on here, seem nice then when it comes to the meet... no show or social then ghosted (I'm not fussed if you don't fancy me but have the balls to tell me)

Such a shame as single men are very much sought after x

I don't get it. I am genuinely single and my experience is that I manage to chat to some ladies but the chats peter out, or I get ghosted. Farthest I hot, I was about to message the lafyvto organise a social meet when she blocked because she thought I was just playing. Anyway, women complain they can't find men, men complain they can't find women, etc. What's going on here?

There are genuine single guys on this site. And I’m sure you will meet them.

There’s also a lot more of the fantasiser types who just like to chat with no intentions of meeting.

Having read your profile, your preferences, requirements narrow down the field quite considerably, so probably a bit harder.

The other problem on this website is that people don’t particularly read the profile in the first instance get chatting and then when they read the profile, realise they might not fit your criteria.
