Doggy can give deeper penetration. Even smaller dicks can hurt in that position, especially if she isn’t aroused enough, or he is slamming her like in bad porn. But I don’t know why you’re asking us, if she says it hurts, listen to HER not us. You could get 20 women here saying no it doesn’t hurt, but that doesn’t make your girlfriend wrong or a liar.

We have had this issue before and its definitely about taking it slowly and almost measuring how far is comfortable.

Sometimes it can be hammer as hard as you like other times it needs more slow gentle strokes in and out.

If bunny really wants doggy but it is not working as it hurts she sometimes adds a wand to her clit and that seems to help open her up inside to accommodate more. (but it's not a garaunteed result every time).

Personally I prefer her on top, or a side angle where it is almost like doggy with my position behind her as she lies on her side, but I can twist my body around to kiss her.

The penetration is still pretty deep, but feels more intimate.

Either way just talk take it slow and change positions, it's more fun to try different ways.
