Yes you can, infact pretty much everything apart from HIV and Hep B (unless there’s open cuts/blood etc) can be given through oral.

I know someone who caught herpes from being rimmed so it's definitely possible. Best to go and get checked, either you'll know or it will put your mind at rest.

That is simply not true. Its less risky than unprotected vaginal or anal sex for sure but plenty of STIs are still very transmissible orally, particularly gonorrhoea.

Sadly it’s a risk factor with STDs. Saying that though, swingers are more educated than your average Joe, we go for tests and keep a mental note of sexual partners if the worst was to happen. Plus free condoms lol

Being in the scene, I’d strongly advise getting tested regularly between sexual partners (even if oral). Discuss medications/vaccinations with your local sexual health clinic. Things like PReP, vaccinating against hep B / herpes (or could be HPV, the nurse will be far more).

It can be scary if you dive too deep into it, but by taking the relevant precautions just enjoy the scene, it has a lot to offer (and highly addictive lol).

Something like 50% of STDs are transmitted through oral sex. The idea that you're "a thousand times safer" or it's "much much safer" is nothing but a fallacy.

Bareback oral is still bareback sex.

You can get tests by post now, no need to worry about going to a clinic. Get tested regularly if you're active and risk is vastly reduced in the community

The risk is lower, but it’s absolutely possible to catch an STI from oral.

The problem woth this is that a lot of the diseases mentioned on this thread (HPV, oral/genital herpes) aren't tested for by a standard drop-in gum test.

for HPV the NHS seem to be relying on vaccination to keep the numbers low.
