When are you classed as a BBW?

So I’ve noticed on a few profiles there will be something about not being into BBW’s… That’s cool, everyone has a preference…

But at what size is someone classed as being a BBW? I’m a UK size 14, definitely not skinny and have some wobbly bits - you can see yourself on my pics…

It just kinda puts me off messaging as it really winds me up when people don’t read my profile, and don’t want people to think I’ve ignored their preferences

It depends on height, body shape, and build I'd say. Some women carry weight differently (and better) than others. A size 14 is a medium, I'd say at least a 16, but then that's average, so 18+ maybe? I don't know. But a size 18 5ft0 women with a tiny frame will look much "larger" than a 6ft woman with a heavier build.

I agree with this, there's no way to finely tune what makes someone a BBW as everyone is differnet.

I'm size 20 waist, size 22 hip with 38dd/e boobs and 5ft4. So a BBW. But I try to get away with "curvy" as I still have hourglass curves. Just too much tummy. I look best bent over xx

Yeah that’s a really good point… I’m very boob heavy and have a bit of a tum… I guess people’s idea of what a BBW looks like is different too. Ah well, I’ll just lust from afar and hope they hit me up some day rather than contacting them

You look a little top heavy (in a good way), but if you dress wrong then big boobs can make you look big everywhere as clothes hang off them badly, or you need to wear larger sizes to cover the chest. There's no internationally agreed set size but I would not say a size 12/14 would be a bbw.

Think there used to be a thing about it being over a size 20 but as women's clothing sizes and Wright carrying etc fluctuates so much its hard to quantify it.

Others say its how you as the lady feels. If you feel more comfortable saying you are a bbw then say it. It isn't for others to classify your body. Most men gave no clue about female bodies/clothing sizes anyway.

I think the term is related to the breast size , as you can get small ladies with big breasts and large ladies with small ones, I think body size is irrelevant when using the term bbw

personal theory - when men put that in a profile , they usually mean they like slim - as in, size 6-10. I wouldn't say i was BbW but equally I am not size 10, and I don't want to be with someone who isn't that into curves, so I give them a swerve

I've moved up from BBW to SSBBW mainly due to curvy or voluptuous woman being considered BBW.

I carry a bit of "ugly fat" under my chin, around my tummy and inner thighs so I'm wayyyyy past the curvy category.

As a size 16 I very firmly put myself in the BBW range but personally think a size 14 is more curvy than BBW. However it is what you feel comfortable doing. You could always wink the person which shows interest, then if they don’t wink back no harm has been done.

I’ve always classed Bbw as size 18+ I’m 18-20 so pop myself in that category and in my name so there is no mistaking it.

Usually I’d say a BBW is someone 18+. Having said that i’m 6ft tall and when I’m a size 18 I don’t think anyone would consider me a BBW. So I suppose it depends on your height. In general though it’s the fuller bodied girls.

I'm not sure you know. I'd say maybe if you're just a bit more voluptuous and carrying a good bit of fat.

I would class myself as chubby/bbw as I'm plus size, a size 16 with huge hips, fat thighs, butt and boobs and a bit of a belly. I do have a smaller waist though and don't carry most of my weight in the middle, but I think looking at me most would say I am big.

I guess my advice would be don't get caught up on the labels! It doesn't really matter a great deal at the end of the day. It's a difficult thing to pinpoint a starting area for I think.

Its a hard one, as I'd say it goes on hight,weight,build ect and mind set

I'm 5'8 and a size 28/30,24 stone but carry hugely round my middle, iv got tiny tits for a fat bird and wear super skinny leg jeans and would say I'm now in to the ssbbw range but when I was a size 18 I carried that well and looked fit and healthy and wouldn't of even classed myself as a bbw

Having been a UK clothes size 28, now comfortably a size 12/14 I consider myself curvy not bbw, I definitely used to be! I don't judge people by their weight at all, I'm attracted to the person, male or female regardless of weight. If someone accepts me with all my wobbly bits and we have a connection then I'm thrilled with that. I think it's such a shame that people say no bbw when women of all shapes and sizes are awesome and so much fun! Size does not make the person. X

I think the term bbw is thrown around far too much some times. Does it matter if a lady carries extra weight or has wobbly bits. When i 1st joined fab i hated being referred to as a bbw as i was so self conscious about my body but now i see it as ive grown 2 babies and i am who i am. Im a curvy girl with big boobs, big bum, and a wobbly tummy and i like what i see in the mirror now. I think all ladies are beautiful in their own right

have done at my smallest (16)

and at my largest (26)

I find size 16 and over, up to a 24/26 to be very very desirable... my idea of a bbw if you ask me, but I appreciate it might be different things to different people.

People have all sorts of preferences. For example, a lady I knew had a fantastic pair of breasts (and she liked showing them off) and she was definitely BBW. I'd always go off the NHS guideline. If you enter your data and it says overweight - then I'd say that is BBW.

I definitely class myself as a bbw. I don’t go short of offers and get compliments on my bum.

I sound like a hypocrite here, because I don’t go for skinny guys (afraid I’ll snap them if I ride them, and always found bigger built guys more attractive), but there’s more to everyone on this site than their size. Everyone on this site with be sexy to someone else. I’ve personally found that being on the scene has built up my body confidence and self confidence

Difficult to quantify someone who is a size 16 and 5 ft 9 would like completely different to a size 16 who is 5 ft. People carry weight differently as well. I often describe myself as curvy but I'm carrying a lot of weight on my stomach at the moment so I would possibly class myself as bbw now

6 and below isn’t anorexic if you’re very petite. We should probably stay away from using medical terms for one end of the spectrum unless we’re going to start calling us bigger girls morbidly obese or super morbidly obese. Not sure anyone would like that.

As has been said numerous times on this thread, a dress size determines nothing because it depends on height and build.

I like this answer because I have noticed abusive terms like skinny, anorexic, twig, fear of 'skinny men being snapped' etc creeping in when we mention size. If we suggested that somebody above a certain size is fat - there would be real problems. Abuse is abuse.

BBW term in the early days of Internet, 1996 or so, was for women who had to shop, at the plus size stores,(in the USA) super bbw was for women who were larger than what the plus sized stores sold.

Now Alot of UK stores,(I immigrated in 1999) have a curve/plus/extra Section.

16+ is where I'd personally start the Bbw term, but it does depend on physical traits too.
