I don't think there are any purly because there are so many different types of Dom. You would have to be more specific and maybe go and see a couple or professional etc

Some people say that being dominant is natural. Personally, that's bumpkus, like anything it's a demeanor that can be worked on and built, much like any personality trait.

The practical aspects of BDSM absolutely have to be learnt. Flogging, canes, single tails etc are dangerous in the wrong hands for sure and everyone has to start learning at some point.

I'd suggest keeping an eye on LAM now they can have workshops again.

There are also loads and loads of paper and online resources. Are there any specific areas you're wanting to look at, I could suggest books and tutorials etc but rather than list the millions of options it's best if I narrow it down.

The title of the thread refers to dominatrix so I am assuming this is for the woman of the couple.

Look online for Midori the educator she has online classes and blogs on feminine power and control. She also has a YouTube channel.

Mistress Lorelei has the Mistress Manual which is a good starting book.

I have not read them but some recommend Miss Abernathy's training books.

Mistress Couple has a good and wide ranging book " The Ultimate Guide to Bondage".

I could name other books but I have not read them yet.

The usual books recommended on Fab also apply, someone else can mention them.

There is someone who runs dominatrix classes who is well known in the London scene But her name escapes me. But I have heard mixed things about the classes.

If dominance was natural and was all that you needed, the armed forces would not use officer training and businesses would not have management courses.

Others, as well as myself argue that there is a difference between being a "dominant" in BDSM terms, and the dictionary definition of "dominant". However in all things kink there are range of views and people create there are own definitions.
