Could be that they changed their mind and decided they didn’t want to meet, or they enjoyed the attention of messages but had no intention of ever meeting, or they were a man pretending to be a woman messaging you for the kicks, or a million other reasons why people choose to do what they do.

The short answer is they don't want to meet

It's not fair if they've given the impression that they will meet you but if you were just chatting in general then there's no harm done

weve found alot of women on here dont actually meet, weve had it a few times, all keen loads of chat, exchange numbers etc, then when it comes to meet, radio silence, not all are like this, but weve had believe it or not more women do it than any other group, it hapens, nothing you can do, just part of fab, thats why we dont rely on fab for meets

Pretty much the same here.

I tend to steer the conversation away from direct sex talk too - so anyone looking for cheap thrills won’t get it from me. So far it’s worked - since restrictions lifted I’ve met 3 lovely guys. One I’ve seen again twice and the other two I’ll see again when diaries align - which is exactly what I’m looking for.

"When u have been chatting for ages and pics have been seen when it gets to meeting they suddenly stop txting?"

Love Island is probably on, or their are just bored of the conversation and have realized it's not going anywhere.

We’ve only just met a couple we’ve been chatting with for 2 year lol people have commitments and other meets planned, obviously there’s been the pandemic to consider and distance. Would definitely say 2 weeks is a bit hasty

I was chatting to my FWB for a year before we met up. He's awesome!

More recently I've been chatting to 2 guys, and due to their own faults, I've stopped. Because one was just being crude and rude even though at first he acted the perfect gent, I was getting giddy when we were texting. The other was way too full on with the compliments and his desire to all but fuckin marry me. Again, a turn off. I guess there's some kinda line somewhere that my subconscious just won't cross...

A very plausible reason might be they were bored with the conversation.

Some of you guys are just not as exciting or stimulating as you believe

You answer could be like most men are most likely chatting with more than one person a female could be as well so it's what's grabbed their attention just be grateful that you've had the opportunity to chat with someone regardless as people are able to just communicate without any further it's still chemistry.

If you're planning on meeting and they stop talking, then cold feet I imagine. I guess there are too many who are all talk and just fancy the online part. But people are just dicks and find someone new and more exciting.

Somewhere in Co. Down

This is why I won't do new chats at present because right now I'm not doing new meets and I tell people this from the start when they message quite a few ask to just chat anyhow but few actually mean that and you always get the so when are we going to meet message and when you point out that you said it at the start they get stroppy.

I also when I am meeting new people prefer to chat for a while and get to know someone and so far that has worked out well and I've never been ghosted etc .

I have however stopped chatting with people though when they get pushy or crude in messages or are constantly blowing smoke up my ass by complimenting me all the time and acting like I'm the best thing ever. I'm not I'm just an average 48 year old who has more wobbly bits than I would like to have and old enough to know when someone isn't being genuine .

Exactly. I've found some conversations on here to be hard work.

Most amusing when people who state on their profile that they don't want single word messages, themselves are only able to communicate with one or two words at a time.

Yes, pretty much the same experience here.

My profile makes it pretty clear I'm not looking for anything just now, of course a lot of men don't bother to read it before messaging & then try to get me to chat/meet anyway

Be that as it may if that is the case then shame on them, because they could atleast have the spine to say "look this is not going anywhere I've lost interest etc" at least give some form of closure, the ones that are chatting and then just stop or block there nothing but cowards.

From my experience, women chat none stop for the entire time that they are awake... they might just be talking to someone else

I agree with this idea of time limit. 2 weeks is bit short (perhaps 3/4 weeks). But need some sort of progress (perhaps chat on phone/text on phone) within a time limit. It would be the same with a vanilla dating site...

We get enough abuse saying no, straight off the bat... Already been called cock teases further up the thread. I don't blame any women that feel, explaining themselves to anyone on here is not something they want to partake in tbh
