How do you all feel about guys (myself) who mask there profiles due to genuine fears someone from work will find out?

Photos are available in private or to send, but would it put you off getting in touch?

if someone doesnt send me a face pic with their first message then i am unlikely to be interested when there are so many others who do have face pics on their profiles.

Totally understand that, but lets say you were just browsing profiles... if the text sounded good but limited photos would you still be inclined to send a message?

that all depends on whether you are better or worse looking than you cartoon equivalent

mind you, look on the bright side, even if turn out to be a munter, all a prospective meet needs is a paper plate and a crayon

no offence taken! I'm pretty thick skinned! I do love a good bit of banter, although it's usually me who starts it

I don't have pics on my profile and I will never be persuaded that it's a good idea to have them. My job means a lot to me and my reputation that comes with that job. The only way of knowing what someone truly looks like is to meet them. Having a pic is no proof of who you are talking to. And all of my meets have been happy to meet "blind", there has never been a complaint

Well said, I know people on here are happy to display them selves, but when you work for some companies it would be looked down on. Only takes the wrong person to find out your on a site like this and then it would cause a whole lot of problems.

It's not whether I could lose my job over being on here, just that the kind of people I deal with wouldn't view it very positively. And besides this is my other life and does not mix with my job, family or friends.

That's the point I have been trying to get across. No one could get you the sack for this but wouldn't be good impressions.

Hmm I don't understand why they do that, they will obviously be caught out at a meet. If they get that far. It's people like that, that ruin it for us genuine guys.

I've tried to be as honest as possible in my profile but doesn't seem to be working. That's why I decided to ask if photos could be a factor.

It will put some off but then so does alot of things!

We choose not to have face pics on our public gallery for a few reasons, we seem to do alright.

No it doesn't put us off contacting others without them. Easy enough to email and ask to see one if they are interested.

Fair point!

But we meet single guys and have made first contact with lots over the years. At least half of them have had no public face photos, we have just liked the sound of them (and I have probably liked their bum or torso pics

not sure if this is the best site i have been on. that would put me off.

and you say you are busy with work, most of the time. some of it is ok though. you need to sound more friendly and laid back. thats just my opinion though.

Look for people who have masks as an interest in their profiles, and you're sorted. I take it you bring round your mask anyway, so no need to release face pics.

Seriously, you have very limited public photos on your profile, ie. one with a plate. People won't generally have sufficient data to be able to know whether they find you attractive, and won't generally queue up to ask for someone's private pics, if you're a single male, that is. So, show more photos of you that your colleagues won't be able to recognise you from. Many of us don't want our non swinging associates to recognise us from fab, but do have revealing photos, even if just for fab members of specific inclinations. I don't know whether your job involves copious amounts of time spent with colleagues in a near naked state, so guessing that most of them will not see your waistline or ass and instantly know that it's you baring nearly all.

There are risks in life, and you also have needs - if the plate's working, continue, even if you wear it in more pics etc.

We arent bothered about face pics and completely understand if guys don't want to share face pics with first message. We don't share face pics until we are comfortable with others so why would we expect others to share with us straight away.

I would personally never reply to anyone who demanded a face pic with first message cause I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing till I was sure we were happy to take things to another level.

My advice, as always, is never take any notice of what others want you to do. Many people could try and persuade you to change your profile to what they like and they still wouldn't meet you.

I like masks, I have pics of me wearing masks, albeit the reason for that is that I just like masks. But it wouldn't put me off seeing others wearing masks at all. If I liked the sound of the profile then I would message

I guess I'm fortunate that my friends, family and work know what I do for fun. Obviously don't go into great detail but it saves me having to fib about where I'm going when meeting people, as far as work is concerened it doesn't affect how I work so not a problem.

Your profile looks fine to me. I usually chat a bit first then ask to swap face pics. I ask to swap early on though as no point wasting our time if there's no attraction.

I have never asked for pics and actually prefer to meet people (after speaking on phone) and then make my own mind up at that time as to whether there is going to be any attraction. And a lot use very old photos on here or worse other people's photos lol.

Yeah am not actually sure why people use old / or other peoples photos. That's just strange. I have to admit a couple of mine are 6 month old but I have some that are a couple of days old and not much difference.

If I had grown a second head during that time then obviously I wouldn't use them.

Some of us simply don't want all and sundry knowing our business so put face pics in private or not at all but accept this may put some people off.

Wouldn't dream to justify my choices or expect others to either.

Believe me one of the reasons I don't have any pics IS because of my job. It is quite high profile and I would not want anyone knowing I was here. I doubt I could be taken as seriously if anyone knew. But it has never affected my time on here in anyway meet wise, so for me personally it works well.
