I wonder what people's thoughts / experiences are on how people dress when meeting from here?

Not just the typical sexy stuff but the overall effort one makes to look good.

Do you prefer the smart, casual or smart-casual look? Have any of you been surprised or had bad experiences with people really not making any effort at all?

It just soooo depends whom I am meeting. It could be casual and a pair of tight jeans teamed with a nice low cut top - then again it could be a feminine dress look with stilettos ...either way I would not show for an initial (in my case that equals social) meet without making a little effort

A guy I had arranged to meet turned up looking like nothing in the pic he sent me, he had a wet stain on his jeans at his crotch area and was smelling of stale drink and body odour

peekin under duvet is it safe?

For us its a little black dress without bra for max effect for her and trousers and shirt for him,

but there again this is always in a club where its smart to look smart

It depends on the type of meet and the location etc...

It would be a bit OTT for me to dress up in a corset for a social meet with no plan of any fun for instance.

I like men to wear clothes that look fairly new and clean of course.

i once met 2 men who wore suits, then the second time they wore track suit bottoms, and i was not impresed especialy as they were short middle aged men. track suits look ok on fit young men only.

I never go over the top sexy for a first meet, at the end of the day i may not like them in real life so i dont want to be sat with my cleavage out, flashing my stocking tops at someone i am going to be saying sorry your not my type to at some point in the evening, as it could give the wrong impression

Saying that i always make an effort to look nice, you can look nice without going for the sexy look

On the other hand i have met a few guys who have made no effort at all, had guys turn up in tatty trainers, base ball caps etc, had one guy turn up straight from work, ok he did work in an office but still he had the same suit on he'd had on all day and not washed since that morning, when i pointed this out he replied he couldnt see the point in having a shower first as he'd only need another one after anyway needless to say he didnt get all hot and sticky with me as he hoped

I always make an effort to try and look nice but the type of clothes will depend on where we are meeting and the type of meet.

But I always do my hair and nails etc.

Once had a couple turn up to ours on a early summer evening, she was in a skin tight ultra mini dress, fishnets and knee high fuck me boots.....gave the neighbours a shock

We like to be smart, suit for M, dicky dollied for C. Is that a bit over the top? Suppose meeting for the first time is a bit like a job interview though, you won't lose marks for being over dressed!
