Messaging while profile hidden

Hi we are new to the site and have made a small circle of friends, but we are getting fed up with lots of messages asking to meet as an opening line. We understand that goes with the territory but the question we’re asking is can people who are on our friends list still message us if our profile is hidden?

We don’t want to lose these friends as they are really nice genuine people.

Anyone can message you when your profile is hidden, unless you blocked them.

Yes, anyone can message whilst your profile is hidden.

Your friends will still be able to reply to any emails and send you emails through their friends list.

You won’t show up on searches and your details will be hidden but anyone can still message you. For example, if they have you saved to those hotlist they can still see your “profile hidden” page and email you from that.
