I can’t lie OP your profile isn’t the best. You’re already at a disadvantage due to you age as already mentioned most people on this site have children and grandchildren your age.

Gotta put in even more effort than most of us if you wanna get anywhere. As said, I’d change that username as it’s not doing you any favours. Rather than focusing on a woman’s age maybe think about and display what you think you can offer?

Treat every woman as an individual and get to know her. If it progresses then happy days.

Lose the username, it projects an air of immaturity and that may be unattractive to the type of lady you're trying to "be friends with" shall we say.

I probably also wouldn't mention age, not many women get turned on by being called old/any variation of the word.

Let me guess OP, when you joined fab you thought that all you needed to do was type a couple of lines on a profile, upload a couple of pics and just wait for the offers to flood in.

I'm afraid it doesn't work like that.

Single women rarely go looking for me on fab - they don't need to.

There are so many of us, and most of us are the ones doing the looking.Most of the time, the ladies are far too busy wading through their bulging inboxes.

Any messages you do send though, I would suggest are likely to be deleted or ignored.

Pretty much anyone you message will take a look at your profile before even thinking about reading your message, so you need to make sure it;s the best it can be.

As you haven't specifically asked for profile advice, I can't give you any, but it does need a lot of work

Oh, and your username is probably putting the ladies off too

You know, I really do not mind being called older or even old as you rightly said.... if older than the person asking then you are old(er)

I do mind, however, being approached/ chosen/ considered a target whatever you want to call it.... purely based on that criterium. I have far more to offer than being older... so to me that is a bit indiscriminative and undiscerning.

I am not in the business or mood to teach a younger guy - it is boring, I guess it is why I prefer more mature men who value conversation and social attributes. Each to their own.

I agree with you - it is about having something in common, more chance of liking similar music as just one example.

Firstly the username would put me off. Any messages I get I always check the profile first and with no effort put into it I would not be interested. If you sent a one line message it would simply be deleted but if you'd put effort into any message I would have the decency ro reply with a firm no thanks
