Anyone else get a real buzz from the ‘who’s near’ function?

Some absolute stunners within a mile of me currently. Love to know if we actually know each other.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

I DO find it interesting! Closest I've ever had was 2 and a half miles, but I live right out in the countryside, so that seemed like they were in my front room!

"

I love logging on when I’m traveling about; particularly, of course, by train. It adds an extra dimension to looking out the window and thinking who’s out there!

Don't have it on, don't like to meet people too close to home so it's no use for us.

Plus if we have just to have a nosey it's 99% just single males

We tend to turn it on just to have a nosey when we travel away though

I use who's near for meets. Get them to turn on their who's near and you can see the distance reducing as they approach.

If it does not they are one of the 60% who are time wasters.

I find it quite fun but there is one person who contacts me every time I go through a certain station on my way home from work because it shows up as being near.

Now I’m left thinking,

A) do they get an alert somehow when I’m within a certain range

B) are they constantly monitoring my location

C) are they just in hear a lot and keep refreshing the who’s near page ?

In the USA there may be some within 5-10 miles in the bigger cities but you can also see nearest as hundreds of miles away.

I mainly search by matching preferences, which is often even further.

Chatted to a guy within a mile a while back and found out a few days later when he shared a face pic that he was my cousin.

I politely told him i knew him and couldnt continue to chat. Blocked his profile to be sure. Never brought it up with him. One of us knowing is bad enough imo
