Hello Fabsters,

We all know beards are divisive things, the marmite of the swinging world.

I’m very attached to mine, but I do from time to time think about taking it off, today I’m booked to hair my hair cut and contemplating it.

My only fear, will I recognise myself after, will my face be smaller than I think it is, there are many questions.

So I have two to ask…

Women - if you’ve known a guy with a beard, and they have removed it, what was your FIRST reaction to the new look.

Men - those with beards, do you have similar beard fears?

Everyone - why are beards so divisive? Hmmmm

52 years without a beard-invisible

4 years with a beard- not invisible.

It's not divisive from where I stand. It makes me feel good about myself and those couples who contacted me to inform me I would have to shave before they would consider meeting me have hopefully found a doormat to fit.

Same as that I enjoy going against the grain, and everytime someone says they wouldn't meet me because of my beard it fills me with joy
