My first one was done about 20 years ago and took a few months which was fine by me and it’s been as good as gold since.

The second one was done 2 years ago and it’s never really healed properly so last night I took it out. C.

If they’re not healing as well as you’d hoped, please check that your jewellery is good quality.

Most if not all healing problems come down to poor quality jewellery.

A change to titanium as soon as you can and they’ll heal very quickly.

It can take upto 2 years. Mine were fully healed in about 6 months. Made them so sensitive

I had my nipples done in 1994 when it was something a little different to the norm. They healed pretty quick as I kept them nice and clean. I only took them out about 3 years ago as my ex hated them. Wish I had kept them in.. Lol . They have healed up now

Mine took a few weeks to heal properly but I have heard of others taking much longer. There’s a few factors which could influence how you heal. The jewellery as another poster has mentioned, an underlying infection, if you keep snagging or disturbing it, your diet and lifestyle too, cleaning it too much can also irritate it.

But definitely get it checked out by the person who did it or another reputable piercer and they’ll keep you right x

Fingers crossed it heals! I love mine

Thanks everyone!! I love them and taking proper care of them but just wondering what other people’s experiences were

Definitely worth the pain when they were first pierced!
