Are age preferences strict?

I have always respected people’s age and sexual preferences on here, even if there’s no block and there’s an option to send a message, I don’t send one if I don’t match their preferences.

I have noticed quite a lot of women and couples message me and I don’t fit their preferences, so I was wondering if women and couples are strict with receiving messages within their preferences or are open to some leniency and it’s worth dropping a message anyway?

Any feedback and advice is really appreciated as always

No mine is just a general range but not set in stone. My filters are open to all ages as you never know who might pop up!

Not entirely sure what you mean? Your preferences are for couples(mf), couples(ff) and women between the ages of 18-99.

Sort of counts everyone except TVs and males

Ours are just a rough guide and wouldn't have to be exact, though we chat to all aged. It just depends on whether they are interesting or not.

Sorry I meant the other people’s preferences, not my own. I’m open to women and couples of all ages but most profiles I see have a preference, I was wondering how strictly they stick to their own preferences

I get messages off profiles where I do not fit their filters, guess not everyone strict.

My age range is approximate, not blocking anyone.

I'm open to receive messages from any age, but I'm not interested in sleeping with people younger than me. My upper age limit is just to make searching easier, but I do explain that in my profile

Our age ranges are not strict.

Generally in clubs/parties its attraction and a connection, as we dont ask ages.

Our age limits are fairly rigid especially the lower one, we just don't feel comfortable playing with anyone around the same age as our kids.

No ours are just a guide really we would probably not meet anyone much younger than our lower limit because of ages of our children but upper limit is definitely flexible

There’s a few things I originally don’t look at when viewing a profile. Their “real” name, their age, their location, and their preferences.

I’ve discovered that not everybody tells the truth on parts of it, so I’d rather talk to a person and get to know them. If they message back that I’m not in their preferences, then I’ll politely thank them for their time and move on.

Some people are strict on their age ranges, others are not.

Those who are will generally have their filters in place to prevent messages from people outside of their age range.

Those who are more flexible will allow messages.

I've occasionally sent messages to people whose age range might exclude me by a few years but who still allow messages, and I acknowledge the fact, but respectfully ask if they're strict or flexible about it.

There's no harm in asking, providing you do it respectfully

We tend to not seek out really young couples on fab as they look too much like our kids. But, we've found out, after a play sessions at a clubs, that we'd played well below our normal age range and above! It's all about taking care of yourselves and the chemistry magic that you can never quite predict.

My age range is a rough guide, and I state this I'm my profile.

For others it is a more strict limit. Often people with adult children don't want to meet someone their children's age... And often people don't want to meet someone their parents age.

I prefer guys 25 to early 40s generally. I've set my range and filters at 18-50 to allow a little bit of flexibility on either side for special cases. Xx

My age preference is tight, as I've already factored in some latitude from my 'ideal' preference.

Personally, i am. Dont want any younglings for obvious reasons and i look after people over a certain age so we stay within our age parameters

I think most are just a guide mate. Especially if your a year or so out. I doubt if your their type 30 days would make a difference lol. But those that are sticklers for a certain age range will block people outside of it messaging anyway

That assumes the desire is equal across the age range, personally I've met very few people at the extremes of the age preference, because the desire simply wasn't there, so it's unlikely I'd consider someone older or younger than the age range stated.

Ps I've chatted to some perfectly lovely men outside the age range btw, but I've just not wanted to be intimate with them.

So if they were perfectly lovely( I’m assuming nice people and nice to look at) what exactly was it about them that made you not want to take things further? That’s a little confusing to me

It's a good question, but for me it amounts to desire and attraction, the component parts of which are hard to describe..but experience has led me to know what I like and want from an intimate encounter having had experiences which weren't enjoyable in my early days because I deviated from what I knew about myself.

Ps I know perfectly nice and lovely gay men, where there's no mutual sexual interest but I can still appreciate their niceness & loveliness!
