I've heard it's the pineapple, a black ring, certain potted plants in the front garden, women wearing anklets on their left ankle etc.

I've heard a lot of things and I think all those things are nonsense.

It's like the whole keys in a bowl thing. Seriously...who does that?

Hmm isn’t pampas grass a ‘thing’ along these lines.

I did have a client who had ‘don’t ring unless you swing’ engraved on their door bell - which was a not so subtle giveaway
