Recently seen a lot more blank profiles on this site, most of them are of “dominant woman looking for submissive men”

What gets me suspicious is the profile content on all of them is similar as in asking to talk via email.

Has anyone else noticed the increase in this ?

I haven't noticed an increase but if we're straightaway asked to contact someone anywhere but via fab we take it as a red flag and move on.

There's loads of fake accounts and catfishing accounts popping up in our area.

Using stolen pictures, single guys pretending to be couples etc etc.

Literally dealt with the single guy posing as a (verified) couple over the weekend (and the account is now promptly deleted).

Somehow some of these accounts are getting verified in various ways as well.

This sites becoming a lot less fun because of it.

100% agree on this. Always seems to be the guy of the couple talking and asking for pics as well

Yes these are scammers I have actually talk to one n see how far she/he can go

Found out he or she was in Indonesia

Used redirect link to ger their IP address

All scam don't send them any videos of ur self u be bl*ckmailed

I’ve noticed this a lot more recently but then again I arranged to meet a couple once who’s profile seemed really legit for a coffee after a few weeks of messages and the guy turned up alone. Said his wife couldn’t make it and asked if I fancied going back to their house anyway.

The account is still active on here and I come across is from time to time.

I think it’s a new approach fake profiles are taking to scam ppl. Especially single men. Gotta be careful out there. Most of the profiles are quite generic, even if there is only a few sentences. I’ve seen a lot of the same on other sites too. Only active for like two or three days than gone!

I always keep 99% of communication on fab, as it's much, much simpler. I appreciate as easy a life as possible, so don't explore ways of making it tougher.

If you filter others by your preferences, then it gets easier to steer clear of those who may stress your life and time here.

And if we all report odd or inappropriate profiles, it helps to keep site standards and user experience at a much better level.

If it was once in a while we would.just deal with it and move on...and that is how it used to be (been on and off the site for a decade).

But dealing with fakes was something that happened once every other month. Now its daily more or less.

We (and absoultely everyone we know who uses fab that we talk to irl) feels exactly the same now. Fab isnt good for meets anymore. You're better off using socials and clubs.

The problem is, not many we know use the forums so it's not getting well reported and theres no real competion to fab either.

Whilst this comment always rubs people up the wrong way, it is the sheer number of single guys on this site causing the issue and it is making it an unpleasant experiance for many. Something has to change and soon. I dont know what the solution is but there needs to be a better or additional verification system to give users an idea of who they are talking to when so many hide their veris and pictures.

Maybe change web cam veris to show up as an amber tick rather than green and mix them in with in person verifications? Perhaps gold tick when you have 5 in person veris (which could just come from a previous social event) OR stop allowing people to.change a single account to a couples account or vice versa because to many fwb accounts are set up then go.their seperate ways and end up being abused by the male half. If your circumstances change...start again.

Not my call to make but as the swinging lifestyle is getting more accepted, more people will join and sooner or later, fab will have competition.

Very interesting but I agree with you, even though I’m a single guy there are a lot here that ruin it for us, definitely need to have some sort of system in place but not too sure how fab would do it
