I think people need to understand the difference between sexual nudity and plain old nudity. In a naturist situation you behave the same as you would in any other social situation, the normal rules apply. Therefore you go about your business exactly as you would of you were clothed.

Essentially, the etiquette is to not do anything that could be seen as openly sexual or provocative.

Plenty of naturist women have said they aren't offended by a hard on or feel that the presence of a hard cock is necessarily sexual in itself - it is a natural occurrence after all.

However a guy openly displaying his erection or, even playing with his cock and balls is almost always considered unwanted and distasteful.

In a purely naturist environment no one should really need to explain what the 'rules' are. You're there to enjoy the benefits of being nude, not to get off.

One way to approach it is to consider that there may be children around to see, even if there are not any there.

I always just lay on my front if I rarely get one. Most the ones on show are lent asleep.

My wife had a go at my daughter for it but it does seem acceptable for ladies to get an ALL over tan.

Same type of people who go to ordinary beaches and holiday resorts.

I would suggest that the sort of individual you are referring to would probably not choose to visit a naturist resort or beach, precisely because they would stand out like a sore thumb.

If you visit a naturist resort in somewhere like France for example you will see plenty of families enjoying a holiday together without clothes.

What you will also notice is that the families tend to stay together for most of the day as very often the kids are quite young.

There may be a kids club type thing which is usually run by a female - often someone in their 20's or uni age - but other than that the parents will spend the time looking after their kids.

Teenage kids are rare at naturist resorts, because they're teens and you won't see many of them roaming a naturist campsite unaccompanied.

So generally speaking, you get families with young kids and couples whose kids are either old enough to be comfortable nude or without kids at all.

Undesirable people would be highly unlikely to get anywhere near a family or child at a naturist resort and if that was their intention a regular resort, where parents might allow even small kids to roam more freely would more likely be where you would find them.

As a side note, you often hear that women prefer being nude at a naturist resort than topless or even in a bikini on a regular beach as they get far less (or zero) harassment when everyone is naked.

Naturists don't often letch or stare, or at least not openly and there is no power to be gained by doing so as all the woman has to do is stare right back at someone perving over them.

Essentially naturists just know how to behave in a public/social environment where everyone just happens to be naked. We don't shed our clothes and then get uncontrollably aroused at the sight of some boobies.

The naturists who are swingers (or vice versa) know to keep the sexy stuff behind closed doors or in acceptable locations!

Yep, I think you are. As others have said, it's probably more difficult for a predator not to be noticed in a naturist environment.

Naturism is about doing all the normal things but without wearing uncomfortable clothes. Once you've seen a few naked bodies it's no big deal, it becomes the norm.

It only becomes sexual if you make it that way, as you would with clothes on. But again, this is less likely in a naturist environment because of the codes of behaviour.

Devil here - I personally feel much more uncomfortable in some swingers clubs or on public beaches/swimming pools than in a nudist camp.

Being naked is very liberating, but also levelling. You can't hide behind your clothes, and also you don't judge people as quickly as you do (subconsciously) when they are dressed.

Yeh time n a place...we do naturist hols and its non sexual...and we are a swinger couple also..all in the mind

I have been to a few naturist beaches abroad and a few spa's in uk totally chill out time. Had no problems as far as erections are concerned yiu just feel so free that you don't even think about it

I understand what you mean but to suggest it’s a modern thing is ludicrous.

Where we have gone baring in mind we only go to one of one is there rather then booking naturist holidays is full of families.

but that is the normal result of applying sun cream lol. Heatwaves leave me exhausted for more than the obvious reasons!

I haven't been to many nude beaches unfortunately. It expected for both genders to be fully nude and showing all. I have seen a fair few men with erections, there is no need to cover up, but as others have said touching it or doing anything else remotely sexual is inappropriate and won't be tolerated. I've also seen kids on them ranging from very young to teens, again no issue, naturism and swinging are very much not the same thing! xx
