Any other ladies tired of being stood up? Seems the keyboard warriors are at it again. All good chat and banter but not much promise in real life.

What's the longest you've chatted then realised it's coming to nothing? Mine was just 6 months.

Been stood up twice. Alot of men on here are all talk and no action. Puts me off meeting anyone new and would rather stick to those I know and trust.

I'm little confused at what you mean. Do you mean physical stood up as in you arranged and attended but they never showed or just dissappear while still at the just chatting bit..

I've never been stood up but have been cut off many many many many times.. but then they owe me knowing anyway.

Never been stood up in 12 years. I don't do sex chat or send any pics. Everyone I've arranged to meet, has. Both as a single and as a couple.

Speaking for myself i never waste anyones time and always turn up if i feel some chemistry with the lady or couple. i have had plenty of timewasters tho i can sense from their relies now if its going no where. Just my own view. May i say if after 2 mths you havent met then maybe they are wasting your time!!Good luck

Normally I would agree if you havent met in two months, yes, a waste of time.

However this fab in the time of covid so not unreasonable not to have met in the past six months.

This time I meant arranged for a lunch date...and never showed. I found out by noticing that I had been blocked on a popular free instant messenger account after I had sent the text (and it had been read) that I had arrived at said restaurant.

Ghosted...yeah I get that also. But at least it doesn't overly inconvenience anyone.

Well that does take the royal piss then amd I'm sorry that happened to you. I've had meets canceled last min or turned into very short ones. Winds me up when I've sorted baby sitters and everything. Nothing worse than a wasted razor

I've never been stood up after I've arranged a meet,well not yet anyhow .

But I did chat to a couple of guys when I was pretty new on here for about 6 months who always said they would meet but always had excuses for why we couldn't at any given time.

Now I can see through them usually early on .I won't send pics or sext anymore and that tends to be enough to most of time out anyhow .

Most conversations do come to nothing to be honest, a lot of people can be everything you want them to be until you ask to meet them. Suppose that's the downside of fab

Have never been stood up once an actual meet has been arranged in the 5 years I've been here - personally I spend a fair amount of time getting to know someone and building a level of trust and respect both ways before even suggesting meeting, plus I have only met forumites, so have a sense of the other person from their forum presence, which all helps.

Think the fastest I ever met anyone was 3-4 weeks after the initial message exchange.

Works for me anyway, know others have their preferred approach that works for them though.

When I was on here as a couple we cancelled more meets due to no shows then went ahead.

Since I’ve been single I’ve had some social meets cancelled at the last minute and a couple of no shows but most do turn up.

My preferred social now is often a dog walk along the harbour side. I have to walk him anyway so it’s not such an issue if they don’t show up!
